JJ-CCR Level 1 instructor
Bob has been diving for over 30 years, with the last 20 years in
technical diving, both with open circuit and closed circuit. Bob
has owned his own dive centres for 25 years, and has a passion for
diving and discovering wrecks off the North East Coast, and he has
successfully trained hundreds of students. He has also ran a
successful charter boat business and continues to explore and
discover new wrecks. Due to his extensive experience Bob has
contributed to many publications as an expert advisor on wrecks of
the North East Coast.
He has held past instructorships with PADI at MI, BSAC at Advanced Instructor and mixed gas open and closed circuit, IART Full Trimix Instructor Trainer, open and closed circuit and is currently a full trimix instructor trainer, open and closed circuit with IANTD. Bob also has one of the oldest IANTD facilities in the UK and has been with IANTD since the early 1990's. Bobs engineering background has enabled him to design and manufacture gas blending panels now used in numerous dive centres in the UK and abroad. He is a factory trained full life support technician with numerous regulator manufacturers.
Bob started diving with rebreathers in the late 1990's and commenced teaching on rebreathers in 2001. He has been a full trimix instructor since 2004 and trimix instructor trainer since 2009. In addition he is also an HSE Pro Diver, parts I,III,IV
