JJ-CCR Level 2 Instructor
Will was born in London, England. After finishing A-Level education he became interested in fitness, physiology and sport and worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and fitness consultant. After learning to dive in 2001 he was immediately hooked on diving the cold-water wrecks off the south coast of England.
Will has been working alongside his mentor Simon Liddiard for 10 years on the tropical island paradise of Gili Trawangan as Blue Marlin Dive's senior technical diving instructor and shares the same philosophy that the primary objective is to teach each CCR diver to be the best they can be no matter how long it takes.
Will has received multiple awards from TDI including: TDI's Achiever of the Year Award for 4 years running 2008-2011. In 2012, he received TDI's top award for Exemplary Dive Instruction and Outstanding Contribution to the Sport of Technical Diving. In April 2014 Will received the "Dive For Life" appreciation award for "Outstanding Achievement in Technical Diving and for breaking the world record for depth on a closed circuit rebreather to 290m"
Will is a TDI Advanced Trimix and Mixed Gas CCR instructor Trainer (TDI#11341), PADI Staff Instructor, Tec Trimix Instructor (PADI#622626) and is also proud to be one of only 2 IART Level 2 (International Association of Rebreather Trainers) JJ- CCR Instructors (IART# IDO0102) in Indonesia. Will has logged 3000+ ccr dives in 10 years (1000 on JJ-CCR) and has completed 3 official Guinness World Record dives to date for the "Longest Open Saltwater Scuba Dive" 48 hours, 19 minutes being the longest.
Students will benefit greatly from his experience teaching and diving JJ-CCR, safety record, depth of knowledge and patience. He gives 100 percent attention and care to all his students, most of which become friends and return for more training.
